This section hold information related to services & their features provided by ezysolare.

There are several methods to enter a location in SEAR & Layout request form:

  • Decimal degree (Latitude, Longitude)
  • Address of a site 
  • Get my location (if you are sitting at the site)
  • Show Map (mark location at google map) 

Make sure you enter latitude & longitude upto 3 decimal points for us to process further with accurate location. 

A value in decimal degrees upto 4 decimal places is accurate to 11.1 meters (+/- 5.55 m) at the equator. A value to 5 decimal places is accurate to 1.11 meters at the equator. As with any data entry, it is important that you double check with the map to make sure that the coordinates you enter are appropriate, and you did not mistakenly enter a number or switch a digit by mistake. 

Conversion to Decimal Degrees

If you only know your location in degrees:minutes:seconds, use this simple formula to convert your location into decimal degrees:

Decimal Degrees = Degrees + minutes/60 + seconds/3600

NOTE: Positive latitudes are north of the equator; negative latitudes are south of the equator. Positive longitudes are east of the Prime Meridian; negative longitudes are west of the Prime Meridian.

ezysolare use multiple data source as per user request for the accuracy of SEAR:

1. Meteonorm - Meteonorm data is a climatologic database for solar energy applications combined with a synthetic weather generator. It contains a large database of ground station measurements collected from various sources.

2. NASA-SSE - (Surface Meteorology and Solar Energy Programme) is monthly data,average of 1983-2005 satellite measurements, provided for any cell in a grid of 10x10 over the world. 

SSE data set is a continuous and consistent 22-year global climatology of insolation and meteorology data.

3. SolarGIS - It is a geographical information system designed to meet the needs of the solar energy industry.It integrates solar resource and meteorological data with tools for planning and performance monitoring of solar energy systems.

It is a satellite derived database used to estimate the solar resource for your location.

Things we need to know to create your Layout Report is given in decreasing order of its importance: 

1. Site address or geo-coordinates - You definately need to know the site address or geo-coordinates to let us know where the site is located. If you are not aware you can always google online. 

2. Capacity OR Shadow free area - You should know what capacity of solar system you want to install  OR How much is the shadow free area in square meter or square feet, we will calculate the number of modules & inverters for your site and their best layout diagram for maximum generation.

As pricing of layout report is based on capacity, you can check the pricing of your layout   by below given calculation: 

                          12 sq.m = 1 kW of capacity

3.Type of Area- What kind of area do you want us to consider 

  • Roof
  • Ground

4. If it is Roof, which type of roof is it - (tilted , flat) 

5. Tilted roof - You should know the tilt direction, orientation and degree of tilt for us to design the placement of modules and inverters at your site accordingly. 

6. Modules- Tell us what kind of module do you want

  • Polycrystalline 
  • Monocrystalline
  • Thin Film 

what company and type of module do you want, if you are not aware of it you can       write 'Any' and let us pick best module as per your site. 

7. Inverters- Tell us if you want 

  • Central (basically considered for MW projects)
  • String (considerd for kW projects)

Things we need to know to create your Solar Energy Assessment Report is given in decreasing order of its importance:

If you are not aware of the capacity instead know the shadow free area(area) of your site then you should get Layout report first to get capacity and then order SEAR to get the generation of the same. 

3. Type of Area- What kind of area do you want us to consider 

  • Roof
  • Ground

8. Meterological data base- We offer SEAR in three Metrological database so you should know in which database you need your solar energy assessment report.

6. Ground & Roof - You can get layout report from kW to MW scale projects, from rooftop to ground mounted projects in anywhere in the world.

This report provide you the energy generation of your site. You can get this service by clicking 'Get SEAR' and it will direct you to the form.

This report provide you the detail layout diagram in AutoCAD format with number of modules & inverters as per size of your site. 

You can get this service by clicking 'Get Layout' and it will direct you to the form. 

You can get these reports in three different formats based on your requirement:

1. A regular report with all the details. 

2. A report with branding feature where you can get your own logo and address along with ours to personalize the report. 

3. A report with whitelabel feature where you get your own portal page which your team can use to get your own customized Solar Energy Assessment Report & Solar Module Layout Report with your logo and your address. 

The layout would depend on the contour survey and row spacing among a host of other factors. Because of the data constraint with most first time installers / owners of the power plants, these details are often not available upfront. And even if they are, then an optimum layout would entail cutting and filling of soil to be able to appropriately design the plant. Considering this, we assume a flat area unless the user uploads additional details of shading or ground slope.

We provide a choice to users between different sources of data

Considering that the different sources of data have different algorithms to arrive at the estimated radiation which in turn is based on different number of years of data that they have, it becomes difficult to standardize a SEAR report for all the sources. However, this would be added in the advanced version of SEAR. 

Further, for computation of the P 50, P 75 and P 90 numbers we need the uncertainty of radiation data and that of the assumptions of PVsyst. This is specified by the datasource. For eg. METEONORM suggests that there is upto 7% uncertainty in its data for India. This alongwith other industry standard assumptions are fed to the statistical formula to arrive at P50, P75 and P90 figures.

Finally, in the latest version of the PVsyst, we get these figures directly from PVsyst itself.
